So. I've been considering the issues of the modern pantheon, and the progression of gods, and what that means to other pantheons, how the progression works, where the gods come from, how they gestate and form, what makes a god a god, where they come from, and how they progress.

We have our modern pantheon, for starters. The Morrigan, Lucifer, Woden, the Norns, Baal, Minerva, Amaterasu, Dionysus. All eight which appeared in the previous pantheon. If we expand our query to the pantheon of the 1830s, we can also add Inanna to our list of previous members.
I'm curious to figure out what it is that sparks the gods to appear in each pantheon, and why they seem to choose who they do -- and more importantly, why they are the keys to the current era...
